Coweta is a town in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, USA. It was established in 1898 and incorporated in 1907. The town was named after the Coweta tribe, one of the five civilized tribes that were removed to Indian Territory. Coweta is known for its annual Duck Creek Days festival, which attracts visitors for its parade, car show, and live music. The town has a rich history and a population of approximately 10,000, according to the 2020 census.
