Fairhaven, Massachusetts, US is a town in Bristol County, established in 1812. It was originally part of the town of Dartmouth, but separated due to religious disagreements. The town is home to the Fairhaven Historical Museum, which houses exhibits on the town's whaling history and the Fort Phoenix State Reservation, the site of the first naval battle of the American Revolution. Fairhaven is known for its well-preserved historic architecture, including the mills and mansions of the Acushnet River Valley.
