Grundy, VA, located in Buchanan County, is the only town in the United States wholly situated within a locality's corporate limits. Established in 1971, it was created as a result of the dissolution of the town of Trammel and the merger with Grundy. The town is named after Felix Grundy, a prominent American politician. A notable attraction is the Buchanan County Courthouse, a historic building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
