Wagoner, Oklahoma, located in the northeastern part of the state, was established in 1896 and incorporated in 1904. It was named after Henry Wagoner, a Cherokee Nation citizen who operated a trading post in the area. The city served as a hub for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and experienced growth during the oil boom in the early 20th century. A notable attraction in Wagoner is the "World's Largest Totem Pole," a 90-foot-tall structure created by Ed Galloway as a tribute to Native American culture.
