Bradford, Massachusetts, US is a historic town in Essex County, founded in 1672. It was originally part of Rowley but was incorporated as a separate town in 1754. The town played a significant role in the American Revolution, with many of its residents participating in the fighting. The town is home to the Watts Regulator and Museum, a National Historic Landmark commemorating the invention of the Watts Regulator, a device that revolutionized the steam engine industry. Today, Bradford is a residential community with a population of approximately 30,000.
