Burton, Ohio, US is a village in Geauga County, established in 1814 and named after the secretary of the Connecticut Land Company, Nathaniel Burton. It was a key stop on the Pittsburgh and Cleveland Turnpike. The village is known for its well-preserved historic district, including the Century House, built in 1824, and the Burton Log Church, constructed in 1834. The village is also home to the Geauga County Maple Festival, an annual event celebrating the local maple industry since 1926.
