Delmont, a civil engineer who worked on the Pittsburgh, Virginia and Charleston Railway. The town is known for its annual community festival, the "Bigfoot Festival," which celebrates the local legend of the Sasquatch-like creature said to inhabit the nearby woods. Delmont's historic downtown area features well-preserved architecture from the late 1800s.
