Eatontown is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated in 1926, combining the boroughs of Eatontown and West Long Branch. The borough is named after Thomas Eaton, an early settler who purchased land in the area in 1670. A notable attraction in Eatontown is the Fort Monmouth complex, which served as a military installation for over a century before being closed in 2011.
