Venta, Oregon, US is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, established in the late 1800s. It was named after the nearby Ventana Creek, which in turn took its name from the Spanish word for "window." The community was a stop on the Oregon and California Railroad and later became a logging town. A notable attraction in the area is the Oregon Caves National Monument, located about 20 miles southwest of Venta.
