Weaverville is a town in Buncombe County, North Carolina, United States, located about 8 miles north of Asheville. It was established in 1837 and named after a local farmer, Abram Weaver. The town has a rich history in textile manufacturing and was home to the Weaver Manufacturing Company, which operated from 1890 to 1969. A notable attraction in Weaverville is the historic Grace Episcopal Church, built in 1855, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
