Boonsboro is a town in Washington County, Maryland, US, founded in 1792 and incorporated in 1831. It was named after its founder, George Boone, a cousin of frontiersman Daniel Boone. The town is known for its historic architecture, including the Boonsboro Trolley Station, built in 1902, and the Shafer Farm, a Civil War site. A notable attraction is the Washington Monument State Park, home to the first monument dedicated to George Washington, completed in 1827.
