McMurry, Pennsylvania, US is an unincorporated community in West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County. It was named after James McMurray, a local tavern owner in the 18th century. The community is home to the historic McMurry Schoolhouse, which was built in 1860 and served as a one-room schoolhouse until 1953. Today, the schoolhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is used for community events. McMurry is a small, rural community with a rich history.
