It was originally part of the town of Medfield, but was incorporated as a separate town due to its distance from the town center. Medway is known for its historic district, which includes the 1716 Meetinghouse, one of the oldest wooden meetinghouses in the United States. The town has a population of approximately 13,000 and covers an area of 14.5 square miles. It is home to the Choate Park, a popular recreational area with a pond, playground, and walking trails.
