Medfield, Massachusetts, US is a town in Norfolk County, established in 1650. It was named after Medfield, England, the original home of many of its early settlers. The town played a role in the American Revolutionary War, with British troops marching through on their way to the Battle of Lexington and Concord. A notable landmark is the Medfield State Hospital, which operated from 1896 to 2003 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
