Weymouth, Massachusetts, US is a city in Norfolk County, founded in 1622. It is the second-oldest European settlement in New England, after Plymouth. Originally part of the "Plantation of Wessagusset," it was later incorporated as a town in 1635. Weymouth is known for its rich history, including the site of the first town meeting in America. A notable attraction is the Weymouth Historical Society's Jackson House, the oldest wood-frame house in Massachusetts, built in 1653.
