Winchester, Ohio, US is a small village in southern Ohio's Adams County. It was established in 1844 and named after Winchester, Virginia. The village is home to the Serpent Mound, a notable Native American landmark and a National Historic Landmark, which is a 1,348-foot-long prehistoric effigy mound built in the shape of a serpent. Winchester's population was 971 in the 2010 census. The village covers an area of 1.1 square miles, all of it land.
